Five Steps for workplace Transformation
KAIZEN – Japanese philosophy; KAIZEN = ‘Change for better’
As we all know, Kaizen also believes in small changes leading to large improvements. Power of observation & immediate implementation.

What is Five S?
Methodology used to establish and maintain a productive and quality environment in an organization.

FIVE S
SORTING OUT
· ‘Sorting’ means to sort through in each work area.
SYSTEMATIC ARRANGEMENT
To organize, arrange and identify everything in a work area for the most efficient and effective retrieval and return to its proper place

SPIC-N-SPAN
· SPIN – N – SPAN means cleaning with meaning
· Cleaning up everyday makes is possible to detect subtle abnormalities such as missing, paper files.

STANDARDIZE
· The fourth step is to simplify and standardize
· Design suitable standards, policies and rules for the workplace

SELF DISCIPLINE
· The final step is to continue training & maintaining the standards.
